Social media has ruined everything. Remember when the Internet used to be like this? Where you’d have an actual “web-page?” Maybe it was on a blogging site like LiveJournal or Tumblr or Blogger, but either way it was something personal lots of us had where we could let loose and then show it to our friends or maybe just keep it to ourselves entirely. Who knows.
MySpace came along, and it had its own blog feature for users, but it almost felt like an afterthought. Once social media devolved into “just say something real quick right now now now NOW NOW” that’s when things went downhill.
We need to bring the internet back to a more verbose time. We’ve had enough brevity. It’s time for some good, old-fashioned walls of text built with using some good old-fashioned cynical brick-and-mortar bitching. I’m angry about everything and it’s going to go here. Anything creative I make, it’s gonna go here, too.
Get ready, things are about to get weird.
